Qualification Criteria
- JTO / JHT / JT: Master’s Degree in Hindi/English with the other as a compulsory/elective subject OR Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi/English medium AND a Recognized Diploma/Certificate in Translation or 2 years’ translation experience.
- SHT / ST / STO: Same qualifications as above AND 3 years’ translation experience in Central/State Government offices.

Additional Details
Exam Pattern & Selection
- Selection Process: Tier 1 (CBT), Tier 2 (Descriptive), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 per wrong answer in Paper-I.
- Paper-I: General Hindi (100 marks) & General English (100 marks); 2 hours duration with sectional timing of 1 hour each.
- Paper-II: Translation and Essays (200 marks); 2 hours duration.
